Abstract: Objective To explore the relationship between the different aged patients characteristic who diagnosed triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)and the prognosis. Methods The TNBC patients with non-metastatic were enrolled to this study from January 2005 to December 2012,who divided into three groups according to age, elder group(>65 age)was 81 cases,middle-age group(40~65 age)was 202 cases and young group(<40 age)was 82 cases respectively. The patients characteristic and the methods of treatment were compared among three groups, meanwhile, the survival was analyzed by Kaplan-Meier and the survival of prognosis was analyzed by Cox risk model. Results The cancer-historic,size of tumor, number of axillary lymph nodes and TNM stages were not significant difference among three groups(P>0.05); However, there were significant difference in the methods of treatment among them(P<0.05); The median follow-up was 5.5 years(4.1~7.9 years),The 5-years relapse-free survival(RFS),distant relapse free survival(DRFS)were 75.9% and 82.3% in young group, which were significant lower than 81.2%,87.0% of the middle aged group and 83.3%,88.6% of the elderly group(P<0.05);The 5-years disease specific survival were 79.5%、80.1% and 82.4% in three groups(P>0.05);Cox risk model reveal that ages and methods of operation were independently factors for the prognosis. Conclusion The patients characteristic who diagnosed triple negative breast cancer(TNBC)are not related to ages, however, the youngest patients, the worst prognosis for the TNBC patients.
