Abstract: Hemifacial spasm is a kind of common cranial nerve disease，characterized by intermittent involuntary convulsions of facial muscles.The effect of drug therapy is limited，microvascular decompression is the only radical treatment.In this paper，the pathogenesis of HFS，the application of preoperative radiological evaluation and intraoperative electrophysiological monitoring are reviewed.
