Abstract: In recent years，more and more studies have shown that neoadjuvant therapy combined surgery can significantly improve the survival of patients with locally advanced esophageal cancer.Among them，the important role of neoadjuvant chemotherapy and neoadjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy has gradually reached a consensus.There are still many controversies between the advantages and disadvantages of the two new adjuvant treatment options.The author will review the research progress of new adjuvant therapy for locally advanced esophageal cancer in recent years.
