Abstract: The ultrasound-guided regional block is a critical part of multimodal analgesia.Differential nerve block refers to the selective blocking of one nerve fiber without blocking other types of nerve fibers, including pharmacological and anatomical methods, with the aim of achieving adequate analgesia and reducing or avoiding blockade of motor function. With the development of day surgery in China,we will summarize the application of differential nerve block in postoperative analgesia from two aspects:local anesthetic (type and concentration) and block location.

Key words: differential nerve block;postoperative analgesia;multimodal analgesia
