Abstract: The cruciate ligament of knee joint is an important structure to maintain the biomechanical stability of knee joint.Knee cruciate ligament injury has always been one of the focuses of orthopaedic sports medicine. Its injury and fracture will affect the knee flexion, extension and rotation.Cruciate ligament reconstruction is the gold standard for the treatment of knee cruciate ligament loss. There are many surgical methods for knee cruciate ligament reconstruction, including single bundle reconstruction and double bundle reconstruction, isometric reconstruction and isotonic reconstruction, autologous tendon transplantation and allogeneic tendon transplantation. The selection of surgical methods is closely related to the rehabilitation and prognosis of patients.Finite element analysis plays a unique role in reconstructing the knee joint model, studying the biomechanics of the knee joint and improving the surgical methods of the knee joint because of its advantages of accuracy, digitization and visualization. In this paper, the authors reviewed the recent domestic and foreign literatures on the application of finite element analysis to the study of the operation of knee cruciate ligament injury and its impact on the biomechanics of the knee joint.
